No, I’m not a pessimist. Why do you ask?
I finished all the applique on the quilt I’ve been working on so I went to my favorite local quilt shop to buy fabric for the ruffle and the back. I found the perfect fabric for the back but for the ruffle? Nothing.
Dang. Now I’m going to have to drive to the city to find something. That’s a long drive.
- Except wait! Look at this fabric that I bought for one of my aprons. It’s perfect! Now I don’t have to take a drive at all. I can just call them and tell them what the fabric looks like and they can send me a yard.
- Except they will probably send the wrong fabric. I’d better cut a swatch and mail it to them.
- Except wouldn’t it be easier to just take a picture and email it? Of course!
- Except why would I do that when I can just take a picture with my phone and text it?
I love technology.
Even though I’m pretty sure they will still send the wrong fabric.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they send the right fabric.

So, rather off topic here but I have a question about your daily schedule (I wasn’t sure if I commented on that post if you’d see it…?) Mine is still being perfected and, well, I have yet to write anything down which is probably a big part of the problem, but I digress…
Aaaanyway – question is – where does Sailor fit into the picture? Is this a hubby-away schedule?
There are a ton of things I want to do both short and long term so I get putting them into my schedule and then it’s like, oh yeah, I suppose I should actually acknowledge my husband somewhere in here! Your thoughts?

I wouldn’t call you a pessimist. Just a woman of experience.
See? That’s why I like to have a fabric stash bigger than any store. I can always find what I need without having to leave the house. The only project I haven’t found something perfect for is due to the ONE time I ever showed restraint and didn’t buy that one piece of material that I loved. It would have fit PERFECTLY with a now half finished quilt.
